  • The Art of Creating Ikebana-Inspired Floral Compositions with MISA Floral

    SATURDAY, DECEMBER 18 / NOON TO 2PM

Part 3 of 3 from Incorporating Flowers in Your Daily Life, a floral design series led by Michelle Samson/@misafloral in partnership with St.Plant/@st.plant.

Ikebana is the centuries-old Japanese art of arranging flowers. The practice, which roughly translates to "arranging flowers" or “making flowers come alive,” uses carefully selected blossoms, greenery and other flora to convey a specific feeling or emotion to an observer – just as a painting or sculpture might. Acknowledging and appreciating seasonal changes is fundamental to ikebana. Arrangements should be regarded as a reflection of a specific moment in time – a snapshot or portrait paying reverence to the season.

The purpose of this class is to teach students the basic design elements when creating ikebana-inspired floral arrangements. The ticket price includes instruction, flowers, vessel as well as use of tools during the class.

$88 per ticket. Limited seats available.

  • BitterSweet Invitational Workshops

    SATURDAY, DECEMBER 11 / 11AM TO 7PM

For over a decade, BitterSweet has been telling the stories of those doing good in the world. When the regular newsfeed serves division and despair, theirs has been a constant drumbeat of hope—a counter-narrative to see culture invigorated for good.

On Saturday, theTwelve will be hosting a full day of programming and workshops hosted by BitterSweet Creators. Click below for the full day and to sign up!
